ok, bang for the buck.  so by saying that we're realizing that there's alot better stuff out there but I'm recomending stuff that's about as good as it gets for how incredibly cheap it is right?

CD player  only $80 and got 4.5 out of 5 stars AVERAGED over 80 reviews!!!:

SUBS, $65 each so get 2

this amp is a great match for these subs if you get 2 of the subs:

you'll need a good 4 gauge wiring kit which will run you about $80 or so at walmart or on ebay.

so far that's only $450.  you'll need to factor in some shipping and you'll need a box to put those subs in.  do you want to build your own box or buy one or what?  Also if you want me to recomend door speakers please tell me what car you have (year make and model)

yeah there is a box that comes with these same subs in it.  the only reason I didnt recomend that was I didnt know if you wanted to save the money and build the box yourself.  I think they want $300 for the box with the subs and the subs are only $130  so spending $170 on a box is a big chunk out of your $800.
OPPS this is a followup cuz I goofed on my orriginal post.
The subs that come with box are a little different and wont work with this amp.  you'll need this amp instead:

its only like $40 more.

ok, well, this amp puts out 900 at 2 ohms.  the polk box is a mono 2 ohm load.  so you have to go by what the amp puts out at 2 ohms mono (match it in other words)  so the amp is rated for 1200 watts at 1 ohm but we're not using a 1 ohm load with the polks, we're using a 2 ohm load, so you go by that.  900 isnt a whole heck of a lot more than 750 and keep in mind that this is a budget amp, it's 900 watts are probably a little overrated, most budget amps are rated when driven with 14.4 volts but most cars only provide 13.5 ish volts.  and by the time you pull enough amps to be pushing this kind of wattage your voltage has probably droped to nearer to 12.8 or even 12.5 volts.  which means this amp will be pushing right aroun 750 watts if that.

so the reason the other amp wont work with the polks that come in the box is cuz they are 2 ohms and this amp isnt made to run a 2 ohm MONO load.  its only rated for 4 ohms mono.  so it would overheat and distort and stuff. but the polks I recomended you get if you built your own box are rated to make a 4 ohm mono load so they would work with the less expensive amp.

the OV4-840 would be great for running door speakers.  most factory speakers are only rated for like 20-30 watts but this amp has a highpass crossover which filters out bass for the door speakers.  if you set this at about 90hz you shouldnt have any problems blowing the door speakers, as long as if you hear distortion, turn it down.  then you'll be fine.

Answer
not really, when it comes to bang for the buck the power acoustik amps, especially the new class D gothic series are the biggest bang for the buck you can get.  the OV1-2000D amp from PA is the probably the biggest bang for the buck and a great match for these polks.
