Audio Systems: ohms, ohm subs, speaker impedance

Question
what would be the wire setup, to run a 4 ohm sub down to 1 ohm load on the amp

Answer
I don't understand the question.

If you are asking how to put a 1 ohm load on the amp, you would need 4 of the four ohm subs in parallel to give 1 ohm load to the amp.

However, when an amp is rated at 1 ohm it usually means that it can handle a load as low as 1 ohm, but it is never a good idea to really load it down with that low of an impedance.  Why? Because speaker impedance ratings are imprecise.  And, depending on how they are loaded, the impedance at any one frequency is usually very different from the rating.  A 4 ohm sub may drop down to 2 ohms at a point near its low frequency resonance point.
