Audio Systems: Kenwood, security code, new car

I have a KDC-X459 eXcelon. i have bought a new car and would like to put it in. I have installed it and it is asking me for a code. Is there a way to still use this unit?

See page 22 and 23 of the owners manual. The original owner sets the code; it can never be changed without knowing the code.  So, if you purchased the unit new you would have set the security code. If you did not write it down it is very hard to find out.  It is an anti-theft procedure; if it were easy to defeat it would not be a very good anti-theft tool.

The only way I know of is to contact with Kenwood and ask them for help. They may have a master unlocking code for your model that is available only to registered owners.
