Audio Systems: Car Audio, saturn sl1, watt amp

Hey I just got a 300 watt amp for my car, my car is old, it is an 92' Saturn SL1 do u think I need a capacitor. It may seem like a stupid Question, but I'm new to all this Car Audio Stuff

Unlikely that it needs a cap, but most any system will beneift to some degree from having one.
What it probably does need is a larger alternator. For example, if the car lights dim when it is turned up at night, you need more charging system.
