Audio Systems: Coins in stereo no sound, honda odyssey, previous shop

Question
I have 2002 Honda Odyssey. In 2003, my son deposited coins into the cassette player. Got repaired at a dealer referred shop along with my coins back. Jump to now, turned on car stereo controls, dvd player, cd, etc. work but no sound. When I took to dealership they wanted me to get a new radio saying I had coins in my radio and it blew the circuit. The service guy told me to try the previous shop for repair. Went there but he wanted to charge me $200 MORE for the same repair he did previously. Just didn't trust him. Question 1: What could be the problem? #2 Would a new "used" factory radio be the best solution? If so, would that fix the no sound? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Answer
hi:
$200 for a repair is to much   you can get a radio with warranty for that much if you jump start the car and made a mistake or there is a coin inside the radio again the pre-amp is going to need service again
