Audio Systems: Town & Country Radio resetting., alpine navigation system, radio connector

Question
"I have a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country with the Mopar Alpine Navigation system.
Every time I turn the vehicle off I loose my settings on the radio and it goes
to a default setting when I turn the vehicle on.  The radio does however, keep
all the preset radio stations set, but nothing else.  It won't save my addresses
saved in the navigation system either.  It won't remember the bass and treble
settings and the volume goes to 0 every time I turn the vehicle on.  I checked
the fuses and the are all good.  I'm not sure if it's a memory wire failure or
what.  I'm at a loss.  Please help, it's very frustrating.
Jeremy"

Answer
Hi Jeremy,
Do a simple voltage test (meter or bulb) on the  Permanent (+30) live wire at the radio connector also check for a small fuse in the back of the set, also double check earth. Your head set is certainly loosing the 12v memory feed, it may be external (hence the test) or internal requiring a repair shop.
