Audio Systems: Honda Odessey 2004 Audio system, honda odessey 2004, illumination control

Question
Yes, the head unit is not coming on. I have the code, the problem is no power at all. So i could not enter the code number. I thought it was only fuse, but all of them are good.

-----Question-----
I have honda odessey 2004 EX with entertainment system. I had no idea why i could not turn it on (the power button) again. But still i could reject the cd and dvd when they were in. and the anti theft light still blinking. I had checked the fuse and tried to disconected the battery. I asked the dealer, they suggested me to replace it, but i believe there is a way to fix it. Your help is needed and thank you so much.

I do not understand what the problem is.  Are you saying the head unit is not coming on and the anti-theft light is blinking?  Is that the problem?

You must enter the anti-theft code.  It comes with the car when new.  If you do not have that code you cannot turn it on until you get it.  Its purpose is to prevent theft; when power is removed from the unit, such as when a thief pulls it out of the unit, it cannot be turned back on until the code is entered into the set using the pushbuttons on the front of the set.  Consult your car manual for  the details.

If I don't understand the problem, please explain it again to me.

Answer
If you don't  mind, I suggest you go to Walmart electrical department and purchase their little $9.83 cent voltmeter.  Use it to check the voltages on the lines that bring power to the head unit.  If there is no 12v, then work backwards to find out where it got lost, or run new wires off the battery and off the ignition.  (And, there may be a third wire for the illumination control).

Good Luck,
