Audio Systems: Dodge Caravan 1999 No Sound, dodge caravan, infinity system

Question
I have 2 problems.
First, I just installed a new Pioneer stereo into my 1999 caravan, all the wires seem to be hooked up correctly, and I do have power to the stereo.  However there is no sound whatsoever.
Ive checked fuses etc...  all seems fine/
The manual does say i should have a minimum 50wat speker set? not sure if thats the prob or not?

Also,
my dimming and front panel ilumination dont work, and now that Ive replaced the stereo i relized there are wires not connected to anything for the dimmer or ilumination.

Problem is, these wires comming of the harnes dont seem to have a place to go?  where do they go.. back of the stereo in the open slots?

the 99 caravan was available with an optional infinity system that has a separate amplifier hidden in the car.  take a look at page 3 here to see how to wire your stereo to activate it:

that should get your tunes going!

as for the dimmer wire that's show on page 6 of this same document as wire "j" in the harness.  that should connect to the stereo's dimmer wire (usually orange but could be any color so hopefully its labeled.)
