Audio Systems: How big of an AMP., square waves, kicker sub woofer

Question
I recently got a new L-5 Solo-baric 10" kicker Sub-Woofer. It is a 900 watt sub. I'm not sure of the RMS or whatever hat is but I just need an AMP that will run it nicely but not over power it at all. Also the sub is in a factory sealed truck box. I appreciate your time and answer.

Answer
its usually a best practice to match the subs RMS rating as close as possible.  if the amp is much lowwer, you run the risk of turning the amp up into its clipping range causing square waves which burn up the sub.  and if you go to high you can thermally overload the sub and blow it.

The RMS rating for this sub is 450W rms. you also have to match the ohms and I believe this is a 2 ohm sub but it might be available in 4 ohm or a Dual voicecoil arrangement I'm not sure, so you'll need to check or measure it.

If you need help picking a specific amp or measureing the ohms let me know.  let me know your price range as well if you want me to pick one out.
