Audio Systems: Dodge Infinity Radio Amplifier Upgrade, infinity gold, infinity radio

I need to know if I can upgrade my Dodge Intrepid Infinity radio/casseste player (with 5 band equalizer) with the next model (Infinity Gold) which has a CD player instead of a cassette player.
I've read the the Gold version requires separate amps on all the speakers - so will I need to replace all the factory speakers, or does the (Silver?) version I have include the required amps and speakers?
Will I need a new wiring harness?

As long as this is older than 2004, go ahead and swap, the Dodge radios work with and without the external amps. Basically, the external amps take speaker level input, and the power antenna wire turns them on. In our salvage yard Dodge radios are one of the easiest swaps. As long as the plugs are the same, it should be fine.
