Audio Systems: 2001 Nissan Sentra car audio, nissan sentra, wire cutters

Question
I don't know very much about car audio, I own a 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE, I have never had any problems with the system up until this past year, My cd player refuses to play any cds, and ejects them and say error on the screen. I also been having issues with my speakers they make a somewhat of a crackling/popping noise especially when the bass is on, or turned up loud, and also the apeakers on the right side in ht front of my car,if you could help me figure out how to fix my problem or you know someone who does, Iwould greatly appreciate it!

Answer
Sadly, the decks' Cd section is probably toast.
It is likely that the speakers need replacing as well since they are breaking up during high volume, low frequencies.

Most factory audio systems are not known for their longevity (especially after 5 years of service).

The perfect solution:
I would suggest a new deck, speakers AND speaker wiring.

www.crutchfield.com is the place to start. Their online sales reps can help you choose the aftermarket hardware that suits you and fits your specific vehicle perfectly. They will also be sure you have every adaptor your situation will need (often preventing the need for wire cutters, ect).
They do this daily for people from all over and have an outstanding reputation for customer satisfaction. They can/will also assist you with installation tips if you purchase products through them.

If you were wanting to repair your existing hardware, I am sorry, but it is not cost effective to repair mobile speakers or CD headunits these days. It is time to spend some money (but you will be blown away by the improvements over the factory stuff).
Crutchfield will give you the best of all worlds by delivering great sound at an affordable price with unbeatable customer service.
I do not work for them but they are the place to go.

*You may be able to get away without replacing the speaker wiring, but I would recommend that you do so to prevent any problems down the road.

I hope this helps you and feel free to let me know if I can be of further assistance with your mobile audio needs.

Sincerely,
Jerry Mael
