Audio Systems: Help hooking up my new amp, stereo subs, watt amp

Question
I have a bolt audio 4 channel 900 watt amp and i was just wondering how to hook my rear speakers up to my amp. Also can i have a sub and speakers hooked up to the same amp? If you cant tell im new at all this stuff.

Answer
Hi Kyle,

I presume this is a 'Lightning Audio Bolt' 1LA-B3004 model (which is discontinued).
$199.00 retail
50 watts x 4 at 4 Ohms
75 watts x 4 at 2 Ohms
And you can run a 150 watt x 1 on the rears (if you bridge the rear channels) plus have the front two for stereo at either 50 or 75 watts each.
It has built-in Crossovers.

Which rear speakers are you talking about... Subs or Sattelites?
Two rear sattelites will be easy to hook up in stereo.

Subs can be done in stereo OR mono from the rear channels. This will depend on their specifications (mainly impedance, efficiency and power ratings) and how they are wired together (if you have more than one sub).

So yes, you certainly CAN run it they way you mentioned.
Please let me know the specifics on ALL of the Make/Model numbers for the amp and the speakers and I can probably give you much more specific advice.

Sincerely,
Jerry Mael
