Audio Systems: Is there a way to get a code to unlock my stereo?, chevrolet malibu, car lot

I have a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu, I recently purchased from a used car lot. The stereo is locked. I have the retrieval codes? I guess. I got that info from internet. I have been trying to find a website with the actual code but no luck. Can you help?  The code is 702707.

Nice to know what car you have, I hope it's a good one as when they are good they are great but if not, gawd they can be a pig!
BUT, you say nothing of the make and model of the radio which is our main concern. There are several sellers on ebay advertising lock out codes on CD, maybe one will be correct, check it out anyway.

If you already think you have the correct code (702707) and the radio will not accept it then it possibly has been tried too many times and locked out, you will need to take it to a repairer or a dealer and get it unlocked unless you have the software and hardware to do it yourself.
