The times there the stations but nothing will sound. Then after a couple seconds it will say all off. I just want it to play could you please help me. It is a kenwood

Answer
It is either a bad unit or bad wiring.

Unfortunately, if you connect it up with faulty wiring it can damage the units amplifiers.

I need to know the car, model and year and the model number of the kenwood to give you a specific reply, but in general you must do the following, now:

ONE:  Pull the Kenwood unit out of the car and bench test it.  You can do this by running some long wires from the battery to power it up.

TWO: Then connect a free standing speaker to one of the channels and get it working.

THREE: Then go around checking each of the amplifier outputs.

After you have verified the unit is working fine you have to test out all the speaker wires for shorts and make sure they are going to the right speaker.

If the car is a few years old you will probably find some good pictures of installation and wiring at www.installdr.com or other such sites.

Good Luck and let me know if you shall need more help along the way.

PS:  Based on your explanation of what is going on I am 90% of the opinion it is not wired up correctly to the speakers.
