Audio Systems: wiring help please?, ohm load, mono amp

ok, i have two brand new cerwin vega 12.2 vmax subs. i also have a exl 1000d mono amp.  i cant get help from any one who knows what there doing. now i have the ran in series which there leaving the box at 4 ohms and then i have bridge into the amp for a two ohm load. it sounds good but soon as u put it loud, blame it cuts off then turns back on. if u can help it would be great. thanks alot

If you have the 2 ohm units hooked in series that would give you 4 ohms.  If you have them in parallel that would present to the amp only 1 ohm; much too low.  So, do you have them in series? Or in parallel?  That is the question.

The amp should drive a 2 ohm load ok, but not a 1 ohm load.

So, check the wiring again, and again.

Connect only ONE sub to the amp and see what you are getting; then add the second one and see again, etc.  Going step by step sometimes helps you understand more clearly what the dickens is going on!

(I don't believe this is a bridgeable amp; it is a mono amp of the class D variety.)

Let me know more after you have followed the suggestions above.
