Audio Systems: Subwoofers, sonicelectronix com, highfonics

Hi,
I don't know too much about the Hifonics subwoofers, so maybe you can help me.  In your opinion, which subwoofer do you think would hit harder?  http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2131.html

I know the Hifoncs sub has more watts in the ratings, but I don't know if they are overrated, like many other companies.  Please help me.

well well.  interesting.  there's alot to consider here.
My intial comment would be to remember that you get what you pay for and you are comparing a $300 sub to a $150 sub.  that said the L7 would have to work alot harder by itself compared to 2 of the Hifonics.  and that would be the same price.
There are also alot of specs that are missing here that would help determine the answer.  Specs like BL, VAS, FS, QTS, etc.  I will try to dig these up.  meanwhile send me a private message with your email address so I can try to graph these if I can find the specs.  If you have room for 2  right off the top of my head I would say that 2 of the Hifonics would be better than 1 of the kickers and cost the same amount.
Remember that when it all comes down to it a sub can only produce an amount equal to it's surface area multiplied by its stroke distance.  The surface on these is the same so 2 highfonics would have double the surface therefore double the sound if there stroke was the same.  of course theres more to consider than just that but we'll deal with that later.
As far as sound quailty that one is very difficult to determine without hearing them.
Were you considering ported or sealed boxes and how much room in your trunk can you afford?  do you want to take up as little space as possible, therefor you need the most concentrated amount of sound, or can you sacrifice space to get better sound?
what kind of music do you listen too as well?
