Audio Systems: auto radio/stereo removal, sony jvc, fuse box

Question
I have 2 questions. I have a 98 Ford Ranger with audio/stereo.  Will you tell me how to remove the unit from dashboard? Also, if an improper connection has been made in installing a replacement (same model) will that cause the vehicle to "miss" while idling, or running ? Thank you for any help. Tom

Answer
Now what did I say about nothing spacific to American cars, ho hum, never mind.
Stereos are fitted in one of the ways, slot into a ISO DIN cage, Pioneer, Sony, JVC, etc, or are side fixed into a frame behind a facia, Honda accord, Toyota, (possibly Fordd Ranger etc. (Come to think of it my Bro' in Alabama has one, I'll ask him later.

No I don't think the stereo has anything to do with the running of the car, it has only a live feed from the fusebox and a live from the accessory feed in the fuse box as well a possibly lights for a dimmer and an earth and there is sometime an accessory wire to raise an antenne or power an amp.. so no.
