Sir, my dvd player will play a dvd that is a copy but will not play a dvd that is an original.  the vcr works perfect.  What should I do?

Answer
The original may be another country code.  You can check it by looking at the fine print on the back side of the dvd jacket.

Also, you should check the on-screen-settings of the dvd player to make sure it is programmed for conventional and commercial dvds. In other words, check all the settings; refer to your owners manual for those settings.

Then, let me know if you still can't solve the problems.
