Audio Systems: 1995 Nissian Maxima Bose Stereo, nissian maxima, bose system

I bought this car used. I believe the previous owners had a different stereo in it and changed it back to the bose when they traded it in. This car came with a Bose system from the factory. All plugs for the stereo are original. Problem is, the radio powers up but will not produce any sound. The power antenna does work. Ideas?

They very well may have done that, Robert.

The main idea here is not to try and troubleshoot such an error-prone system which is that old.
You could try the obvious (check fuses and grounds), but you would be best off replacing all of it with new aftermarket parts.
You could put quite a lot of money into it (in repairs/parts) and you would still have a very used 1995 audio system, so I say chuck it, count your losses and continue.
