Audio Systems: ford escort aftermarket stereo removal, antenna wire, aftermarket stereo

Question
I had a stereo installed in my 97 ford escort with the aftermarket replacement and now i want to take it out.  I got the actual stereo out of the sleeve, but there are a bunch of different cords  attached and I don't know which ones to disconnect.  There are two plastic pieces that attach the cords that I unplugged but one of them has two red wires coming from inside the car and a lot of the wires are attached with little caps on them.  Is that what I need to take apart?

Answer
All of the ones attached to the stereo. The caps sound like crimps, so they probably cut off your factory harness and butchered it. Never go to that stereo shop again. Just cut off everything that is attached to the stereo, except the antenna wire, it just unplugs.
