Audio Systems: Toshiba TN50X81, protection mode, home call

Question
I purchased this projection tv on 09/13/00.The set worked perfectly fine until a year ago when it developed a power on problem. It would not turn on at times and the red power light would flash. If the power cord was unplugged from the wall outlet and replugged, the set would turn on and run fine. This problem was intermittent as the set would power on and run normally also at times when pushing the on button on the remote or tv.
The set was sent for repair under warranty at a manufacturer authorized service centre. They replaced a part (#IC032 - QH174 EPPROM I)according to the invoice. The set seemed to turn on and off without a problem until now. Almost exactly a year later and no more warranty the same problem has started with the exact same symptoms I described before.
Do you think I have the same problem or has something new surfaced?I am still quite happy with the clear brilliant picture I get from the set.Your response will be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Yes, before finishing the reading of your statement I was thinking it to be an eprom that is prematurely triggering the protection mode.  And IC032 is in the power supply chain of events.

So, I think, with about 80% confidence, it is the same failure.  I don't think the IC is very costly, maybe $25, but the labor to replace it and check out the settings and such are time consuming.  So, you should expect it to be a $200 repair bill plus delivery or home call by the shop.
