Audio Systems: wiring an amp, carpet on the floor, kick panel

hello mark im a beginner on installing an amp and i wanted to know the best way to run the amp wire in my car i figured go arround the door in trim but theres no trim the head liner in a streched peice of vinal. so what should i do. o and the car in an accord

Usually the first place to start is pull the wire from the engine compartment through the firewall plug into the cabin. from here you can usually remove a plastic kick panel where the carpet on the floor meets the area where the door closes.  under this plastic piece there is typically a channel with other wires in it, or it allows you to lift up the carpet a little and sneak it under the carpet.  then you can feed it under the front seats (again under the carpet) and if it's a 4 door do the same in the back, remove the plastic kick piece and go under the carpet.  eventually you can feed it around the back seat and into the trunk.
