Steering Column Repair: wiper motor, 1997 acura cl, intermittent wipers

Question
QUESTION: My intermittent wipers do not work, the next two speeds do but when you turn off the wipers they will stop anywhere on the wind shield and also if i turn on the washers fluid i need to pull over and turn off the ignition to stop the wipers because they will not turn off manually.
please help

ANSWER: Hi Ayaaz:
Although you don't tell me what kind of vehicle you have, 99% of the time, the problem with the wipers as you describe is a bad circuit board in the wiper motor itself.  The switch is sending the correct messages (because things change when you change the switch position), but the motor is not responding properly.  Those functions are controlled by a circuit board in the wiper motor itself.

Replace the wiper motor assembly

QUESTION: I did what you requested and picked up a wiper motor from a donner car 94 Honda Accord the yard suggested using from 94-99 since it was a running car i tested the wiper motor and it was functioning properly but when I installed it on my 97 Acura 2.2 CL it failed and the wipers would not shut off until I turned off the ignition so i guess for that 1% I'm assuming it has to be one of three relays that is in between the wiper switch and motor, one is located beside the switch the next one which excites the intermittent is under the hood on the passenger side and the last relay is beside the fuse panel at the drivers kick panel.
Looks like I have my work cut out for me and I need to get this resolved before winter arrives
