Audio Systems: 1995 Ford F150 CD player, readio, mechanisim

After CD inserted and playing for a few minutes, it stops playing and word "BAD" appears in display.  BAD does not go away when palyer turned off, only when ignition turned off.  CD will not eject.  CD player w/ readio is 11 years old.

You just answered your own question. The Ford radios display this mesage when they are unable to read the disc, plus sounds like the loading mechanisim is worn out as well. Time to upgrade, this unit has served very well, much longer than most.
