Audio Systems: amp, output transistors, ohm speaker

i have a jensen xa3022lx 300 watt amp and i had it workin when my friend told me to bridge it so when i did i neglected to read the tag that says do not use 2 ohm speaker in bridged mode anyway it smelled like smoke please help i think i could fix it if i could figure out whats wrong with it i have a fluke tester an some experience soldering also any schematics or other information would be helpful thank you

You don't need schematics and you don't need a meter.

What you do need is to replace all the output transistors and the emitter resistors that burned when it went.

Actually, if you know how to use the meter to test the output transistors you can check them one by one and see which ones went.  But, you have to pull them off the heatsinks to test them; if tested in-circuit you won't get reliable readings.  On the other hand, if you can find a good source for the output devices, you might just as well replace them all togehter and save the trouble.

They require special heat conducing material to be applied so they won't burn out again; make sure you know how to do it because it is very important.
