i just bought a 1993 infinity j30 and it has a factory bose sterio / cd system in it and i dont work i looked and everything looks to be plugged in but there is on cord missing but i dont think it matters, i dont know if i have to buy a new system or do something with the old one?

Answer
This is very interesting,  I've only been on this forum for about 3 weeks and this is the 3rd question I've gotten about the J30s stereo not working.  I'm going to copy my previous responce:

There is actually a post I found on this site (allexperts.com) that says basically that these systems are known for going bad and total replacement is recomended as a chain of fixing usually happens when trying to repair them.  Replacement with non factory equipment is recomended, skip trying to find the bose stuff and go with alpine or a brand you like.

To add to this,  when I say total replacment it means all the speakers since they are 1 ohm speakers which no amp will run. It also involves running new wires to all the speakers back to the cd player since there is an amplifier in the factory wireing that always goes bad and this must by bypased.
Sorry it's not what you wanted to hear but it will fix the problem and keep you from constantly going somewhere and paying someone to keep fixing it.
good luck!
