Audio Systems: audio playback, audio playback, exact copy

Question
Any suggestions?  I've burned a CD with several downloads.  The 1st half of the CD plays back just fine, but the 2nd half is either scratchy or doesn't play back at all.  I also burned an exact copy of a store bought CD and it didn't play back.  Do I need a new CD player?  Can it be due to a low battery?

Answer
Your burner may be in trouble.  Your player may be in trouble.  There may be excessive dirt on the surface of the disc.

To test for a low battery, put in a new battery and see if the process improves.

So, give me the model number of the burner and player and I can research a little deeper for you. However, first try the discs on another player and see if they are playing fine with the second cd player.
