Audio Systems: Wireless headphones, headphone jacks, wireless headphones

Question
I bought my parents a set of wireless headphones to use with their TV. Unfortunately, we discovered that their TV, an el cheapo Symphonic from Wal-mart, doesn't have audio output jacks or headphone jacks. The wireless headphones can plug into either standard audio outputs, or either size headphone jacks. They have an ancient stereo system that can't be put into the set-up either. So I'm looking for an inexpensive way to allow them to use these headphones in their house. The only other bit of hardware they have which might offer a solution is their PC. I see TV tuner cards available as low as $20 online. If I put one of these intheir PC could they then plug the wireless headphones into the headphone jack of the PC and get stereo sound?

Is there any other simple devices they can plug the TV cable into that will provide them with an audio jack?

Answer
Yes, the pc tv sound card will work, but it would be very awkward having to tune it to the station of the tv, etc.

My suggestion is this: Purchase a low cost vcr (they are now days $25 and up) that has headphone and/or audio out that will match the headphone transmitter.

The vcr could be used for a tuner for the tv as well.

Good Luck,
