RV Repair: Class C Air Conditioner, coachmen rv, freshwater tank

Question
In my 95 Class C Coachmen RV, last week-end I ran dry on water in the holding tank and the house air conditioner started having problems pumping cold air.  I turned it off thinking the air conditioner was going out.  In the morning I refilled the water and then re-tried the air conditioner and it now works fine.  Is there a relationship between the water and the air conditioner?

Answer
Kim,
There is not any relationship between an A/C and the freshwater tank.  There is an evaporative cooler made for RV's that does require water.  They work fairly well in drier climates and would suffer performance wise if the tank went dry.  If you can get the model # and manufacturer I can tell you for sure which one we are dealing with.
