Audio Systems: 1993 toyota previa audio wiring, toyota manuals, car parts stores

Question
my stereo system was robbed and the harnasses were removed. I am having trouble with the color codes of the wiring as I am not sure where they are coming from

Answer
There are two or three ways.  What most installers do it use an ohmmeter or lightup checker to trace out the wires.

There are color code diagrams available from Toyota manuals - best to rely on the actual Toyota published version; there are also private brand manuals that you can purchase at most car parts stores.

If you go to crutchfield.com you can purchase a wiring harnass for your car which comes with hookup procedures and diagrams (usually).

BUT: this car being rather "old" you may have trouble finding the right reference materials, so the first choice above, that of tracing down the wiring with a meter, may be the only solution that is reliable.

I believe you could order this crutchfield wiring harnass ($9.99) and just match up colors from the kit to your cars colors.  Study that one, anyway.

Good Luck,
