i have a 2001 chrysler town and country i want to replace cd changer with a dvd/cd changer...i got a 2004 radio and dvd/cd changer out of a 2004 chrysler. can i make this radio with the pci bus system work with the older car

That a more ambitious project than I would attempt even myself. I think you are better off to sell that 2004 set on e-bay, and get an aftermarket set. MUCH easier to install and interface. I had a nice Pioneer DVD headunit driving 2 rear screens that was easy to install, and swap vehicle to vehicle later on.
