Audio Systems: Figuring out the wires when hooking up a car stereo, radio connector, best bet

Hi--

I'm trying to install a cheap car radio in a 1989 Summit, and I can't figure out the color coding for the wires in the car. there are a bunch of wires in all colors, gray (2), black, red, blue, white (2).

I think I found the power wire (which is red), but it doesn't seem to light up the radio like it's supposed to do. It has a fuse, so I'm wondering if that might be the issue.

Any suggestions?

I checked my info disc and it doesn't list a wiring diagram for your vehicle. Your best bet is to visit your local dealer and ask if they can print out the wiring color codes for the radio connector. If you need Tech Help in the future feel free to contact me direct at: tdeser@zoominternet.net
