Audio Systems: 2003 Mercury Radio, static noise, little music

Dear Mr. Ruesta, the radio in my 03 Mercury g/marquis quit working.  The only thing that comes out of it it is static noise it doesn't matter what channel it is set on. Once in a while I might hear a little music but the static still in the background and also It doesn't matter what channel the dial is set on the same station plays, in other words just because the dial says one station the radio plays another, it is so strange. It quit working from one day to the next with no warning-- the previous day was playing just fine and now only hear static. Your help would be great appreciated.  Have a great day.

normal problem on this radios i see that all the time  is better to replace the radio don't waste your money repairing that unit  it will go bad again and it is not the antenna

i have a couple of the tape and cd players with the same problem
