Audio Systems: Sebring Radio Problem (A Repeat), power fuse, radio problem

Question
Jerry, I was reading a post that you answered about an LHS having radio problems.  The bass and treble lights were flashing on and off and your answer was that the radio was going bad or there was a bad connection that was making the lights intermitently blink.

I am having the same problem in my Sebring and I don't believe that it is a short or bad connection.  The blinking is "patterned" and turns on and off in timed intervals.  Not only that but I can remove the fuses for the radio and it continues to do it even if the car is off.  It has got to be an error message or something of that nature.  Any ideas?

Answer
You may have not pulled the constant power fuse for the radios' memory. It may not have one that is obvious. Additionally, it may very well be the dashboard illumination that is letting the power in for the bass and treble 'lights'.
As to factory codes, you'll have to ask them about that.

If you can live with the problem..  no need for a new radio.

Sorry.
