Audio Systems: 93 Ford F150 radio problem, fuse box, radio problem

Ny radio keeps cutting out and then comes back on in AM mode with the presets cleared.Sometime it comes back on immediatley and sometimes you have to bang on the dash to make it come back on.I'm about ready to smash it into little pieces please help.

Check the ground connection, or better yet just add another one. Just bolt a braid or black wire from the radio case to good metal on the truck. Avoid painted metal unless you grind the paint off. Those Ford's had a pretty good ground bolt behind the driver's kick panel, a green bolt.
Also, check for loose connections on the memory wire, and the fuse that feeds it. Sometimes the fuse box was damaged by someone using fuse taps in the past.
