Answer
Dear James,

Not a lot of information to go on. How loudly have you been playing it? Music or movies? Is it enclosed in a tight space with poor ventilation? All of these things, and many more, could cause a heat build up that the receiver can't handle, which in turn trips its internal thermal protection circuits. Try unplugging the unit entirely from the wall receptacle/power strip. Wait until it's fully cooled down, plug it back in again, and power it up.

Sometimes unplugging the unit will reset the thermal protection circuits. Sometimes not. If this doesn't do the trick, you'll need to take the unit into a qualified repair service either to reset them, or if there's something more sinister going on (power transformer failure, for instance), for a bench test.

Good luck. And thanks for choosing allexperts.com!

Kindest regards,

Kevin
