Audio Systems: adding iPod adapter to 2002 Tahoe, phillips screws, security code

Hi Kelly,
I need to plug an adapter into the back of the factory-intalled head unit on my 2002 Tahoe.  Any tricks on pulling the unit out of the dash then re-installing it?  Also, do I need a security code to make it work after re-installing?

The OEM head unit is easy to remove, mostly clips, and three phillips screws.

As for the adaptor, the instructions should come with it, if it's a good one. As long as the stereo matches the truck now, it should recognize the adaptor.
