i have an apex dvd player approx 3 yrs old was working fine then i powered on and the picture was jumping and rolling even on apex start screen and with movies playing, the movies play and the sound is fine just the picure is rollinf and jumping: is the laser dirty? any help would be great thanks

Yes, buy all means try cleaning the laser. There are a number of commerical products which do this very well. However, if the picture still jumps and rolls, I suspect there's something worse wrong, in which case you have to take it to the repair shop.

An alternative would be simply to trash it and buy another cheap DVD player. I'd probably opt for the latter.
