Audio Systems: radio will not do anything!, chrysler sebring, infinity sound

I was listening to a cd in my 01 chrysler sebring when I got to my destination and turned off the car, when I got back I turned on the car and none of the buttons on the radio/cd player would do anything. When I turned the car on the speakers made a very strange static noise, now the cd player and radio stay lit up when the car is off, and it will not change from cd to radio or eject the cd. What do i do?

the only thing you can do at this point is unplug the ground of the battery for a couple of minutes  and them plug it back and ject the cd and tape
if this is the infinity sound system most likely it will work
if not radio needs to be service or replace  
i can help you find a radio  but unplug the battery and lets see if the radio works again
