Audio Systems: tv/sattelite/dvd/vcr/home theatre set up, sattelite dish, tv sattelite

Hi, I just got the sattelite dish installed and I don't know how to set up my vcr, dvd and home theatre system, so everything works with surround sound. I would really appreciate if you can help me with that.

Dear Dima,

“How to connect everything…” is one of those inquiries that one can quite literally write a small book about or at lease a series of magazine articles. Since this has been done much more comprehensively and eloquently than I can manage, I'm going to direct you to a web site, www.soundandvisionmag.com, which maintains a series of such articles which in turn cover virtually every conceivable connection option. Once you're at the site, click on “Archives”. At the archives page about half way down you'll see a series of “Back to Basics” articles. Each article has a "Print Mode" version so you can print it out and have it handy as you make the connections.
