Audio Systems: harmon kardon, beep beep, gm cars

We recently bought a stereo for our harley off of ebay it is the am/fm/cd offered in the 2006 bikes with optional xm, cb, intercom and navigation system. we hooked the base stereo up with none of the options when you turn it on it says radio not calibrated. the radio and cd work other than this blasting beep beep about every ten seconds. what could that be and can it be fixed or do you think we got a stolen radio from ebay and its some securtiy thing like the teft loc on GM cars? My husband is about to smash the thing. thank you

I really don't remember exactly that radio but try to give me the model number (it should be on the cover of the radio) and what is the manufacturer (harman kardon is the system designer but the radio can be pioneer, alpine or matsushita)and i will try to find the manual on my files.
