Audio Systems: my system, dash lights, cavelier

Question
right now i drive a 92 cavelier i installed a deck and my dash lights are now blown, i checked my dimmer switch, its fine, my fuses are also fine, ever since i put in the deck all the lights are gone. My second question is what are the reasons for my sherwood 6x9s crackling. i have 2 twleve inche subs going with a hot shots amp and my 12s arent in a box, they are both on a board and face the passenger compartment, using the whole trunk as the box... any ideas?

Unless it is bad, the deck just needs wired up correctly, I am sure.

As to the 6x9s, if they are using the trunk area as an enclosure that is probably the problem. Put back plates (basic enclosures) on them to keep the 12's from making them move.
