Audio Systems: CAR RADIO, jeep grand cherokee, car stero

Question
Good Morning!

I recently purchased Sirius Satellite Radio. The first two weeks everything worked perfectly. All of a sudden I started noticing serious static coming through when I listened to the satellite and any other FM Channels. Sometimes the noise would be such a high-pitched sound that it reminds me of someone scraping their nails down a chalkboard. Over the past couple of days my FM will go out completely for periods of two hours or more. At first I thought it may be a bad connection but now I am wondering if my car stero is going out. I own a 97' Jeep Grand Cherokee with a stock radio. Any suggestions?

Answer
If you want sattelite radio, I would suggest to buy a new one that does not need your old one in order to operate.
If course, if you have steering wheel volume control at the wheel (and want to retain its' use), you will need an XM headunit that has a remote control and a PAC Steering Wheel volume adaptor (adaptor is about 60.00).
