Audio Systems: Replacing car radio for Audi A6 1995, audi a6 1995, audi a6

Question
I am told that I have to replace the complete system, including speakers for my car.

Is there a radio that is compatible with the wiring in my car.

The speakers work fine, and seems as though the only economical choice is to find this gamma/bose fm/am cassette radio from a junk yard, but they want more than $100.00

Would you be able to shed some light on this complication.

I will probably keep my car another 2 years and wanted to find a reasonable solution.

Thanking you in advance

Answer
Vehicle specific units are very spendy. 100.00 is not that high.

Just get you a new deck at walmart.
You can buy a brand new in-dash SINGLE disk cd player that plays mp3 and reads CD-R cd's (up to 256 tunes per cd!)... with mounting kit (so it fits the dash opening) and a wiring harness adaptor (no need to cut vehicle wires) at walmart starting at about $100.00 USD.
You cant come close to that amount of listening time with normal cd's [even using 15 or 20 of them].
I zealous (yet careful) novice could do this upgrade.

Email if if you want to pursue this and/or have any more questions.
I hope this helps.
