Audio Systems: 95 VW Passat radio, vw aftermarket, vw factory

Dear Jerry,

I have a '95 Passat GLX and recently had the battery replaced. Now, nothing comes up on the radio face, it's just blank. The red light still blinks, but I can't get anything up on the face (SAFE or CODE) to enter my code number.

I changed the fuse in the fuse panel and I pulled out the radio and changed the fuse behind it and replaced it. Any other possible problems/solutions you can think of?

You might try disconnecting the battery then re attaching it to see if the display comes up for CODE.
Otherwise, you will want to inquire about this at the VW dealer or a local VW aftermarket shop. They can be very intuitive with common issues like this one you describe.
