Audio Systems: radio turns on, the subs work but no sound out of radio, chrysler lebaron, lebaron

When i turn on my deck everything works except no sound comes out of the speakers. I have an '89 chrysler lebaron and am wondering if it has to do with the amp. what your thought is on it?

 really need to know some more info about how you have the amp/sub combo wired up if your using low inputs *RCA* or hi... it could be a problem self contained in the head unit itself , disconnect the amp/sub and then try the regular speakers, if everything works you know its in the amp/sub , if it has no affect you know its in the wiring to the head unit or the unit itself... hope this helps you out
