Audio Systems: Display Lights Not Illuminating, delco theftlock, radio cassette player

Question
I have a 1999 GMC Sierra Classic pickup with the factory Delco Theftlock AM-FM cassette player, with the factory detached single CD player. The radio, cassette player, and CD player all play fine. When I purchased the truck used in April of 2004, pushbuttons number 3 and number 6 were not illuminated. All other buttons were. Recently, I pulled the front of the dash off to try to get to the radio. In the process, the other four pushbuttons no longer illuminate, as well as the other indicator buttons. The power, recall, reject, and volume lights are all illuminated, but I believe they are on a separate circuit. I have checked every fuse associated with the radio, with no luck. Is it a single bulb inside, or multiple bulbs, or some other problem? Thank you greatly in advance.

Answer
Bob,

the lights you are talking about i believe are LED's, you wont be able to replace them yourself, you would have to take it to a repair shop and have new ones put in by a pro, but since its just the recall buttons i really wouldnt worry to much as long as everything works good, because depending on the shop you go to they can cost you an arm and a leg for even the simplest of things ... there really is no reason why they go out i had a 2001 S10 delco CD player that the display went out in and an 02 sunfire unit that done the same.... but only way to get them fixed is to take them to a shop ... hope this helps you out

thanks
