Audio Systems: 1996 Ford Explorer, ford dealership, signal processors

Question
My Explorer has, I think the premium sound system.  There is a radio in the back seat that can be run independently of the main radio.  I went and bought the wire harness that fits my vehichle and wired it into the harness that came with my new radio.  My cd player will turn on, load cds, but there is no sound at all, not even static.  I went to my local Ford dealership and they told me they couldn't help.  What do I need to do to fix my radio.

Answer
You will need to take it to a professional installer since  you are seeking an aftermarket resolve.
That system may well have amplifiers/signal processors associated with it, and these would need to be dealt with b4 you continue.

Call around, ask a few mobile audio shops what they charge, and go from there.

Good luck.
