Audio Systems: boat stereo, dry location, outboard engine

Question
im wondering if you've ever put a stereo system in a boat.  heres my dilemma.  i have an amp that id like  to put it in my boat but im afraid that it might get wet and destroy it.  is there something that i can put it in so that water doesnt touch the amp?  also, how do i ground the radio and am?  since the boat is fiberglass do i ground it to the outboard engine?

respectfully submitted

Answer
Hey Ray
Yes you can put a system in a boat. There are marine grade speakers you can get. You can also get a cover that protects the radio. As for the amp there isn't really anything you can do except try to mount it in a dry location, even then moisture may still get to it. I dont know how loud or the extenet of the system your wanting, but you can go with a high power HU and not use an amp. As for the gounds, ground every thing at the battery. Tim
