Audio Systems: radio wont work, cassette radio, stock unit

Question
I have an AM/FM cassette radio on my boat.  All of a sudden it just stopped working.  The clock on the LED readout works fine but when you turn the power knob on the raido, the LED goes black and the radio doesn't work.  Any idea what this might be ?  I check the fuse and it appears to be fine.

Answer
Gar K,
It sounds like the radio has died, which wouldn't be surprising given that it is in a watery enviornment. It also could be that the power wire is loose, which wouldn't be surprising either. Loose wiring is the primary culprit in a lot of the problems that I see. I would recommend checking the wiring to the head unit to see if anything is wrong (only if this is easy to do). If you can't get to the back of the radio, then I would have somebody who can take a look at it. Breaking things is bad. :)But after that there isn't much that can be done. Because it's a stock unit if the wiring is fine, then the radio itself is the problem.

Best Of Luck,
Alan
